What are you interested in learning more about? Copper peptides, NAD+, Hair Growth, or under eye options…. These are four topics I’ve been obsessing over lately, and since I don’t have time to dive deep into all of them, at least not simultaneously, I figured I’d let you guys choose, and I’ll take you along with me.
ALSO.
If it’s not abundantly clear by now, I actually enjoy learning about the latest beauty and wellness fads. Sometimes, I worry that I might be coming off as vain or disordered by constantly writing about beauty treatments so let me just say that I think the sexiest thing about me, by a long shot, is my brain. A close second is my personality. Does that immediately make me unlikeable?? (Heavan forbid, a woman who actually loves herself!)
I guess this is all to say, I am not spending my time wondering how to be prettier or thinner or insert male-gaze adjective here. I am genuinely awed, fascinated, and inspired by the fact that we can change not only our inner appearance but also our outer appearance with treatments, products, and lifestyle changes.
With that out of the way, these are some of the things I’ve been thinking about deep-diving into…
Copper Peptide Injections - There is a certain celebrity who recently had a MAJOR glow-up. We have a mutual childhood friend who swears she did not get surgery. I have looked at personal before and after photos, and I can see a world in which this is true. Regardless, said celeb told our mutual friend that she has been using copper peptide injections. This is an injection that has both regenerative and cosmetic benefits. It’s considered the anti-aging peptide.
Hair Growth - I am losing my hair again (fun!)… After about two years on it, I stopped taking oral Minoxidil and lost a f—k ton of hair, slash, I am still losing it. (This is normal after you quit Minoxidil.) Part of me is into surrendering, knowing that the hair WILL eventually grow back, The other part of me worries that if I don’t stimulate the hair follicles, less will grow back. (This is not a made-up fear of mine, but something that CAN happen.) Do I dive down the rabbit hole of hair growth? You guys tell me.
NAD+ - I have been on MNM for years now. I found Dr. David Sinclair and made my whole family get on an NAD precursor, but if we are being honest I stopped taking the pills. I got overwhelmed and then forgot to work it back into my routine. In the time that I’ve stopped, there have been a ton of advancements regarding: NAD and it’s a lot more accessible. For those that don’t know NAD helps your body build and repair cells. It basically helps your mitochondria (which in turn helps everything in your body). It’s supposed to delay aging, give you energy, and improve immune function and it can be administered in many forms: IV, injection, orally, and even via a nasal spray.
Fixing My Under Eyes - I noticed volume loss a couple of years ago but I’ve been hesitant to do anything because it’s under my EYES, and contrary to what this Substack might have you think, I am actually pretty cautious about getting treatments. I won’t do ANYTHING unless I’ve properly researched the science behind it and then asked around for personal accounts. That said, there are a ton of ways to treat your under eyes — from PRFM EZ gel to Mesotherapy to filler and fat transfers. I am more interested in the regenerative ways, as I do not want to use filler if I can avoid it.
Okay, out of these four things, what do you want to learn more about?
Let me know in the comments, and whichever treatment gets the most mentions will be the one that I document and share with you all.
xx, Rory
